DIY - Baker boy hat (Incl. Pattern tutorial)

Today I am going to make a baker boy hat. with the leftover tweed fabric.

Have you seen the last Blog? I made a top with this beautiful wool fabric and there were some leftovers. I decided to make a hat.

This fabric is sponsored by Minerva dot com. This is 80% wool 20 % polyester and non stretch. And I had only 1 yard. It was enough to make one XS size top and I could even make this hat.

It was my first time to make this hat but it comes out alright?

First I need to measure my head. I just used the soft measure tape. And try not to pull the tape too tight.

And I divided it by 6 since I will make 6 panels.

And you can see other measurement here.

Now I need to make the brim. I use one of my cap to copy the shape. I took any kind of leftover fabric to do draping pattern. I copied the brim with the fabric and copied it on the paper to make proper pattern. Fixed the lines. And it is all done.

I am sharing how to sew simply in this blog. You can find more details in the vid below ! :)

The hat is done!

This stylish baker boy hat is handy all year round and can be made in almost any fabric.

The segment design makes it simple to construct so you could make as many as you like!
