Peppermint (Free Pattern)- Peplum Top

I am going to make this beautiful top with this charming wool tweed fabric. This top will go together with any kind of knit, blouse and tee. Also you can wear it with pants, jeans or a skirt. It simply can go with anything. The style is super easy to sew and the pattern is free. So why not try? Let’s start.

I've been wanting to try a Peppermint pattern for a while now, and this is my first choice. This is a PDF file pattern that you can see on their website and you can see a lot of other free patterns here too. Just click this and ask for the download. You will receive the pattern to your email.

This is actually for a summer top that doesn’t need any lining and you use the bias tape for the edges. But I will add the lining and wont use the bias tape for my top. I will explain this later in the video.

This is what I need for today. Main fabric, lining fabric, seam tape and interfacing. I have so many things talk about this fabric. First of all , this is from Minerva dot com. It is 63 inch width which is very big. I only need one yard to make the top as an XS. I could even make some other accessories with the leftovers. I will post about it later. This is 80% wool 20 % polyester and non stretch. And you can see that this is really high quality fabric. This will be just right for a jacket, coat ,skirt or suit something like that.

It was really easy to sew. I only needed to match the check pattern for the side seams.

The fabric was gifted by Minerva.com in exchange for a review/blog post.

Here now I have this beautiful top. This is a really well drafted pattern. Everything fitted together perfectly. And the quality fabric made this even better. I am sad about the lock down this month but I can’t wait to wear this for a trip in the near future.
