Hello All, This time As you can see , I made a summer top. After My first knitting project, I have a lot of confidence that i could make anything i want. but to be honest, No, I am not ready yet. haha.
I bought some knitting books from korea and I still have a hard time to understand the paper pattern.
So yes, this time, I found this great simple / beginner friendly knitting tutorial/ pattern on youtube.
She is Korean and The tutorial is sadly in KOR. but It is easy to follow through the vid without the language if you have little bit of experience with knitting.

I used 7 balls. Technically, It was 6 balls and tiny bit more from the extra one ball.
That is why I added the crochet motif flowers to use up the last of the leftover ball.
I started the same count with her tutorial even though we used totally different yarn.
This is top-down knitting. I started from the neck to bottom.
This is a very basic design. once you learn how to do this, I think you can apply it to any different size and design.
The raglan increases are done and I separated the sleeves. And it already looks great! The only thing I didn’t love was knitting the same pattern all the way down.
Maybe once I am used to this, I can make it super fast.
As I said before, I used the last leftover ball for the flower motifs. and I sewed them up by hand.
I finished the neck in I-cord instead of 1*1 ribbing since the neck width was a bit small for my head. Once more the ribbing i did was not that beautiful some reason. I changed to a smaller needle and tried to tighten it up as much as possible but still it wasn't neat and nice so I finished it with I-cord and it worked well.
It took 3 weeks to make the top. I worked everyday 1~2 hours while i was watching TV shows.
I unknitted and unraveled so many times but I believe that my knitting skill improved after this!
I made my knitting journey vid about what i was thinking and the sizes. Please check out my vid and let me know if you have any questions.
Happy knitting to all!
