This week i am going to show you how to make this cute oversized shirt i am wearing right here.

It is originally a jacket pattern but i made a shirt with it.
so There were some mistakes. 😅 This is what happens when you don’t review your sewing pattern carefully. haha However, I got through it. I will show you how i did.
It is from Ojayroom. you can find her insta/ Etsy to see her pattern lists. She has a lot of trendy cool sewing patterns.
Back to today's project. It is her new pattern and i am so lucky to test this.
It includes sizes US 2 to 16. It doesn't come with instructions but you can find her full tutorial on her youtube.

So this is the fabric i am going to use. I couldn't find the wool which I was looking for. so i decided to make an oversized shirt with a cotton poly.

and this is what i found from wilko. I love the pink and grey plaid. The color is very soft and warm.
It is a single size duvet set. The cool thing is that if you have a bed cover at home already you can upcycle and that would be much better.

This was my mistake.
It doesn't have a collar stand. and it is originally designed to be a jacket.
but I was making it as a shirt.
so this was a problem.
The collar was shorter than the neck.
and i didn’t have extra fabric to cut the front facing.
I decided to remove the stitches for the front and move the pocket placement.
So I folded the front deeper to match the length with the collar and stitch it.

Luckily this is over sized so i could fix something like this.
but i won’t be able to close the neck. which means it is not functional. but this is ok. I will leave it open all the time.. so this will work.

It is a nice over sized shirt as I imagined. It is a drop shoulder and the length is perfect for my height.

I think I should try this pattern again to make a jacket with nice wool fabric. so that i can have a button at the top and i can close the neck

I have also uploaded my sewing vid for the pattern. please check out my pattern review and the sewing process.
Happy sewing to All.
