Vogue Vintage pattern V1551 Review

I made the dress View E from the vogue vintage pattern which I bough from Ebay.

I am always so excited and nervous to try a vintage pattern because i can't find a lot of reviews and I don't know what it will look like.

This is the pattern. Vogue 1551.

It looks like a 90's design which is trending 2020/2021. 😂

Big collar , the chic fashion.

I love it just like this.

I will use this cotton lawn fabric. I bought it from south korea.

Tracing the pattern. I will use size UK8 for this design.

I found out that the hip is too tight for me!

So i un-stitched this again and made the seam allowance 0.5mm instead of 1.5cm. 😂

The shoulder is slightly bigger on me but i will just keep the pattern this time.

now the skirt length is too long on me. 😭

I am 153cm and small..... so I am always needing to dealing with length.

but the skirt design is a mermaid line. so if i trimmed the length... The skirt will be an H line.😭😭

So I decided to keep the length as well.

Here , I finished my dress.

Next time,

I will use size 6 for the top, and will amend the skirt panels based on my body size.

and I will shorten the length and keep the mermaid skirt.

anyway, It came out really nice.

I love the design. So classic and trendy at the same time
