DIY - Quilted Patchwork Cushion Cover

Hello All!

Have you done patchwork? It was my first time to try quilting and I had so much fun!

I made two pillow cases because i thought it was time to change things around. ;)

I measured the cover sizes, and based on that, I mixed and matched the fabrics.

I bough the fat quarters from ALDI. This is how i started the patchwork. It was so cheap and I love the colors & textiles.

The price & Quality is just perfect for practicing my first patchwork project.

Well... I am good enough to play with photoshop.

So I started mixing & matching the fabrics before cutting them.

without the photoshop simulation, I don't think I could design it by my self.

It was all about math as well. I had to think about seam allowance and etc...

This is the process.

and I made tassels for more details on my pillow covers.

Here, I finished my cushion cases. I finished it with a zipper.

It was not difficult to sew but it was difficult to decide the colors & design.

The base color was not my plan to be honest with you. ;)

I cut the patchwork panels smaller than i designed so i had to add the fabric to fit the case size. hahaha. well. it came out fine.

As I said, It was so much fun to try. I would like to make a quilted blanket next time.

before, I will also need more sewing practice.

Happy sewing to All today!!
