This cute sleeveless ruffle dress is made with a blue cotton gingham and a piece of the vintage embroidery . This pattern offers you 2 cup sizes and so many different design options that you can create.
I used a high neck line and shortened the skirt length. Furthermore i added the pockets with ruffles.
This is Izzo sew's first published pattern and i was lucky to test it!
It is a PDF pattern which i can print at home easily and the construction was easy to follow.
I made a test garment before cutting the actual fabric, especially for the waist part. It was all good. It has enough loss to make my moment easy & comfy.
and the back line fits well. I really like how it covers my back.
I didn’t make any pattern alterations since I tested the fit & so on. I am 5ft and I kept the length first and didn’t add more tiers. But I wanted to wear this mini dress so I shorten the length and added a frill under the skirt. And I also added pockets at the skirt.
I didn’t add a lining. Instead, I made a bias tape with the fabric and used it around the neck & shoulder to finish.
I found this cute embroidery from a local vintage shop and couldn’t help but use it for my sewing project right away💙
This was fun & easy to make. This is incredibly comfortable and well designed. It will be perfect for my summer vacation. I can’t wait to pack this cute summer dress for my summer vacation!
